We want your LUME piece to feel just right. If something doesn’t fit or you’ve had a change of heart, we offer thoughtful options that reflect our care for both you and the planet.
This page outlines everything you need to know about exchanging or returning your item. Please read carefully before reaching out — and if you’re unsure, our team is always here to help.
✧ First-Time Customer Size Exchange
We know that finding the perfect ring size can take a little guesswork, especially for first-time customers or gifts.
That’s why we offer one complimentary size exchange for first-time customers on the same ring style.
Here’s how it works:
- We’ll cover the cost of shipping both ways for your first exchange.
- Just make sure the original ring is:
- Unworn
- In original condition
- Returned in its original packaging
- Shipped back within 14 days of delivery (as marked by tacking)
To make future purchases easier, we include a complimentary ring sizer in your first order — so next time, you’ll have the perfect fit on hand.
If you’re unsure about sizing or picking a gift, this first-time exchange gives you peace of mind while encouraging mindful, confident shopping.
✧ Style Exchange / Change of Mind
Changed your mind? We understand sometimes it takes seeing a piece in person to know if it’s the one.
If you’d like to exchange your item for a different style, we’ll issue store credit once the original piece is returned and approved.
Here’s how it works:
- You’ll cover the return shipping, as well as the shipping cost for your new piece
- The original ring must be:
- Unworn
- In original condition
- Returned in its original packaging
- Shipped back within 14 days of delivery (as marked by tacking)
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we’ll issue your store credit to use anytime
Please note: We do not offer refunds unless the item is faulty and cannot be repaired or replaced.
✧ Faulty or Incorrect Items
We carefully inspect every LUME piece before it leaves our studio, but if something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
If your item is faulty, damaged during delivery, or incorrect:
- Contact us within 48 hours of receiving it at care@lumejewellery.com
- Include clear photos of the issue so we can assess quickly
- If confirmed, we’ll offer a replacement, store credit, or refund, and cover return shipping
✧ Non-Returnable Items
To maintain hygiene standards and support conscious shopping, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for the following:
- Items purchased on sale or during a promotional event
- Build Your Own Bundles and curated sets
- Gift cards
- Items that have been worn, damaged, or altered

These items are considered final sale, with no exceptions. Please choose carefully, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help before placing your order.

- Returns must be sent using a trackable shipping method
- All returns are inspected before approval
We reserve the right to refuse exchanges that do not meet these conditions or show signs of misuse.

- We’ll confirm eligibility and guide you through the next steps.
- Once approved, send the item back to us.
- We’ll process your exchange or issue your store credit once the return is received and inspected.

If you’re placing another order, whether for yourself or as a gift, and need another sizer, simply leave a note at checkout and we’ll include one, no extra cost 🤍
